Pariksha Test SeriesTM (CBSE)
The CBSE conducts two national level exams for the school students, referred to as the Board Exams. Usually, these examinations are considered to be the most important academic events in the life of the students of Class X and Class XII.
It is to be noted that these exams are different than the exams in other Classes as:
The school teacher does not set the question paper making it difficult for the child to predict the content.
The exam is not held within the premises of the childs school but is held in a different school.
The teachers who taught the student do not grade the papers
In addition, the streams (Science, Commerce or Arts) are decided on the basis of the Class X exam and the admission to various college level courses is decided on the basis of the Class XII exam.
Currently, most of the students of Classes X and XII seek the help of professional tutors (after school hours) to prepare for these exams in addition to attending classes in school. This helps the students to the extent that they can cover the prescribed syllabi but there is negligible to very low emphasis on taking full-length tests in a controlled environment.
Also the quality of tests, evaluation and feedback is always questionable as it depends on the subject matter knowledge of the tutor. In the process the ultimate loser is the student as she ends up practicing on tests in a very non-focused manner without relevant feedback for further improvement in her score. This also results in exam anxiety and stress for the student. The above stated facts show a clear need gap to offer a Qualitative Test Series that is scientifically developed and executed under the guidance of experts - to benefit the student.
